Our Home Performance Analysis is like a scan of your home that will help us diagnose and prescribe home energy improvements that will lower your utility bills and make your home more comfortable

Our blower door testing helps locate excess "leakage" (often referred to as infiltration) in your home which can lead to both comfort and energy loss problems. We'll thouroughly inspect your home for insulation levels and levels of potentially harmful CO (Carbon Monoxide). We visually inspect your home for areas that could benefit from improvement, such as drainage and attic ventilation.  Our Home Performance Analysis will take from 3 to 6 hours in your home, thouroughly inspecting and testing all aspects of your home so that we can give you a comprehensive prescription to fix the problems and make your home more energy efficient and comfortable.  We will follow up with a comprehensive report explaining to you what we have found and what we would recommend to fix any problems.  We'll give you an estimate of what the improvements would cost and prioritize the improvements from the most important to the lesser important improvements.  With your ColoradoHomeEnergyPros energy improvements, you can be assured that your investment will be installed properly and we also will post-test your home to ensure that your investment has made a difference.  As a
Home Performance with Energy Star contractor, we have been qualified and trained to effectively test and diagnose your home as well as effectively install the solutions that will make your home
More Energy efficient and comfortable.

Mountain Air utilizes building sciences to provide you with the most efficient comfortable comfort system.  There is more to replacing your heating and cooling equipment than just replacing what you have.  95% of our installations include duct modifications that improves air flow to your home and we always utilize Manual J sizing to ensure the properly sized equipment for your specific installation.

Air Sealing
Your home has many openings that allow the outside to seep into your home. You probably have been by a drafty window or door that easily betrays the presence of infiltration, but often infiltration sneeks into your home through spaces in your siding or basement rim joist and that is very hard to find without comprehensive diagnosis (blower door testing).  Once we know where the infiltration is coming from, it has to be sealed to stop it from coming in your home.  We will identify and seal the areas of your home that are causing excess infiltration.  Utilizing the latest in one and two part foams to get into the cracks and openings in your home to ensure complete sealing, our installation technicians will make sure that these openings are sealed to reduce the infiltration in your home.
Insulation
Insulation levels in both new and older homes often could be improved.  It is an
Energy Star recommendation that your attic have an R-value of R-49.  Cantilever and garage ceilings are often inadequately insulated resulting in poor comfort levels in the floors above.  ColoradoHomeEnergyPros insulation services can dense pack your soffits, sidewalls, and garage ceilings and blow extra insulation into your attic. Utilizing the latest in insulations, we can improve your insulation levels in your home and improve your attic to R-49 or higher.

Crawl space vapor barrier
Exposed dirt crawl space floors can expose your home to dust, moisture, and potential radon gas.  Putting a vapor barrier in your crawl space will reduce the potential hazards and improve the comfort level of the floors above.  Our vapor barrier installation includes spray foam insulation on the rim-joist area of the crawl (to seal up infiltration) and sealing your crawl space ventilation.  With the installation of the vapor barrier, your crawl space becomes part of the inside of your home instead of a cold, clammy, area that makes your home uncomfortable and potentially hazardous.
 Post Testing
All of our home performance improvements include a post test to ensure the job is done completely
